2021: The Year We Cautiously Welcome

2021 Expectations.jpg

Happy New Year. 2020 has come and gone. Welcome, 2021.  A new year is often filled with many expectations and we here at Yonge Entertainment would like to share some reasons why we think that this year will be one to look forward to. But first and foremost we would like to offer our condolences,  thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of MF Doom {or Doom} aka Daniel Dumile who died on October 31st, 2020.

May he Rest in Peace.

2020 was a very heavy year, but it was also a good time to learn more about appreciation. Without further ado, here is the tentative list of reasons to keep the hope alive this year:

Please note that the reasons are not in order of importance and that we only are giving opinions on things that are positive. There are things that we have not thought about yet.

  1. Covid Vaccinations have begun being administered and it will only be a matter of time before the general population will be able to be vaccinated. Hopefully, that means that Lockdowns will lessen.

  2. The new knowledge learned during the Pandemic and Lockdowns, which many systems of individuals and world leaders can find ways to work together and improve their countries as well as the world as a whole.

  3. On January 20th, Joe Biden and  Kamala Harris officially take up their roles of President and Vice President respectively. Kamala Harris will be the first woman who has taken the mantle of Vice President. Congratulations to her and Joe Biden.

  4. and Creatives have been committing to different projects with love, care and attention and those may be born this year.  Therefore we predict that there will be more new music whether it is singles or albums is to be seen.

  5. Snoop Dog may retaliate to Eminem dissing him in a song on his Music To Be Murdered By Album. It would be interesting to see if Snoop can still spit lyrics on par with the minds in the rap game.  Even if Snoop Dog does not retaliate some other “slighted” rapper or rappers may look to seek revenge for what they perceive as a threat or putdown to themselves.

  6. There may be a chance of released work that Doom had in progress. That all depends on the agreements between him and his partner as well as where the track stood at the time of his passing.

What are some of your expectations or predictions that you have for this year? Feel free to leave a comment below.
