You know. every once in a while, you hop on Netflix and watch a show that is honestly just not usually your cup of tea. Or did not meet expectations. Like Extraction.

Frankly, I love Chris Hemsworth. it's just that it did not live up to the hype, so no wonder it’s on Netflix.

Other times you find a nice, cute gem. Neither gold, nor platinum, but just a gem. For you anime fans out there who are reminiscing about the good old days - I mean Avatar: The Last Airbender, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and classic One Piece days. Well, that wait is… still coming.

Demon Slayer is exactly what we need at this time. It is lit!

So the story introduces us to a whole family of Tanjiro Kamado and presents us with an entire beautiful scenery for them. But then they all get murdered in the most brutal fashion ever. It is done in the most brutal way that I have seen in a while. Like Bruh, I swear they wasted no money getting graphic with this scene. Straight savage!

Only one managed to survive it which was his youngest sister, Nezuko Kamado, who turns out to be a demon and tries to eat his brains. Before she can this rando saves him and he recruits him to become a demon slayer.

Why I recommend this is because it is so original! The animation of this studio is of very high quality. So high. I wish Naruto took advantage of this. You can see through the storytelling and dynamics that it does pay a lot of homage to successful anime like Naruto and Dragon Ball Z. The first scenes present this as artistry and me a lot of the Goat Bruh!

The character development, specifically that of our protagonist, really keeps you engaged. They go in-depth and explain why the bad side is bad. The bad side actually has a motive which is pretty amazing once it is conceived by the creative writing. The side characters are fleshed out but not simpletons that bore you and make you think like hurry up so I can get back to the main story. Like shows that will remain unnamed and unwritten *cough* Attack on Titan *cough* Purge Siren. Nezuko’s sister does not speak so you have to pay attention to the body language, a great wrinkle for the show.

All of this is part of an all-around convincing and compelling story with grade A storytelling and almost no filler, which is very well done in my opinion.  It is only in its first season! I repeat the first season! It is frankly an amazing show that I suggest to anyone.
