Episode 1: Black Lives Matter
Changed behavior won't happen over night, and this journey is not a destination. You are responsible for your process, and as humanity comes to terms with itself on a scale larger that ever seen before, thanks to technology, it is important that we bring systemic racism to the forefront of the conversation. Addressing systemic oppression black people face in America and around the world is just the beginning in terms of what it is going to take for humanity to heal. What you see and hear are the concerns of two friends trying to remain informed in the fight against systemic oppression. We don't have all the answers, but as students, as children of coloured parents, as Canadians, we believe that it is our collective responsibility to help push the need for conversations about things that make us feel uncomfortable. We have made a conscious decision to remain fearless and hopeful in the face of fear and hate. We have made a commitment to share our voice and help those who are trying to find theirs.
